Mahatma Gandhi, who went ahead (start) with the movement of Indian Independence, was a lawyer from Porbandar, India. His plan, which was a movement of non-violent disobedience, worked out (be successful) fine although the English had established not only a big system but also a strong one. Gandhi said many important things about life and looked into politics with passion in order to achieve his goal. Nonetheless, no matter the greatness of his peace plan, Gandhi was killed by a fan who turned up (appear suddenly) when he began the walk to Birla House. One of the most important quotes was “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”. The first part of the quote means that you need to live your life without any restriction (obviously within the law) because you will be sorry for something that you didn´t do and will never have the chance to do it again. Meanwhile, the second part of the quote talks about the hunger of knowledge that we are supposed to have every day no matter the situation we live in. I mean, we need to stay active, learn something different every day in order to add value to our lives. I picked out (choose) this quote because I really admire Gandhi, his way of thought and all the sacrifices that he made just to see his country free. Finally, as I already said, there are a lots of quotes from Gandhi but I think that this one is the one with the most powerful message about live and freedom making us think about our daily life and what we with it. Then, just be happy with what you have and enjoy live.
Hi, I like the quote because it says that we have to make the things that you want because maybe in the future you don't have the opportunity. I always say that we can learn anything about the people or the things that we live but of course we have to pay attention. The people should be more careful with the things that happen to their environment just they have to be optimist and always have an open mind.
